In Botswana, where the government decided ISDB-T adoption in February, 2013, the Botswana Television (BTV) officially started digital TV broadcasting on 29th July. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Ponatshego H. Kedikilwe, Vice President of Botswana, Mr. Mokgweetsi Masisi, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr. Nonofo Molefhi, Minister of Transport and Communications; and also there was a Japanese national delegation, headed by Mr. Keiichiro Tachibana, Vice Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications.
The ISDB-T digital TV broadcasting in Botswana was officially switched on by the push of a button of the system by the Vice President.
